Nose
Roasted cacao nib, chocolate paste, dates and other sweet dried fruits are warm, lightly toasted and enticing aromas.
Taste
The flavors are reminiscent of mezcal spiked hot chocolate, but with a fresh and light texture.
The chocolatey flavor lingers on the palate after each sip. Equally deep and refreshing in flavor, and satisfying to a chocolate craving. Delicious.
Method/Background
Designed as a tribute to the flavors of Oaxaca, and born out of a desire to support the local economy during the difficulties of the 2020 pandemic, Versus was crafted with seasonal ingredients from local vendors. The espadin mezcal is distilled with local ingredients in the second distillation. Available as a certified mezcal in Europe and as a destilado de agave in the USA.
