Method / Background Notes
The Lost Explorer’s Tobalá was made with ten year old agave which were roasted underground in a conical oven for three days then rested uncovered for 2-3 days. Open fermentation in oak tanks, twice distilled in a copper alembic. All three labels currently available in The Lost Explorer family share light bodies and bright flavors which reveal the continuity of Don Fortino Ramos’ hand in all of them.
