Nose
This bottle is full of an iIncredibly vibrant aroma, it’s like standing under a waterfall of fresh mineral water sun baked sagebrush.
Taste
A very tight and lean mezcal with herbal notes and a spicy white pepper finish.
Background Notes
Launched in 2015 to highlight local cupreata, the Rayo Seco project expanded to focus on another local agave, the rare Sacatoro, a type of angustifolia that only seems to exist in Guerrero. Per Rayo Seco, Sacatoro grows faster than espadín, maturing in 4-5 years.
