Background Notes
Don Chucho is an icon in the world of mezcal, producing some of the highest praised mezcals from the Jolgorio line and more. As the industry continues to grow and support traditional mezcal producers, he has passed the baton to his son Jose to be the lead maestro mezcalero for this expression of espadin. The family business has enabled Jose to return to Zoquitlan from the USA to carry on the family and small town legacy.
