100% organic and artisanal mezcal distilled in San Martin Tilcajete, Oaxaca, a Zapotec community known as the home of Alebrijes; Intricate hand carved and hand painted copal figurines, reflective of realistic and mythical creatures.
The Tepextate is one of the most rare, as it’s made from 25 year old wild-harvested agaves.
Tileño Mezcal is a tribute to the Zapotec people, artisans who are indigenous to this area of Oaxaca. Both the spirit and the packaging itself are crafted to reflect the heritage and the legacy of the Zapotec people, with a commitment to artisanal quality and authentic expression.
The spirit, bottle, and packaging are exactly what you would find locally in Oaxaca.
“Tileño mezcal is a mixture of the four elements of nature: fire, water, earth, and air, that result in the inheritance of a liquid culture, which is made with the heart.” – José Angeles Elias
Maestro Mescalero José Angeles Elias began distilling Tileño in 2014. It has become known for its excellent quality and its approachable flavor. Exceedingly well-balanced, the taste of the agave comes through with a pleasing amount of smoke that enhances rather than overpowers.
