Aromas of smoke and leather are tempered by charred pineapple and flamed sage.
Taste
This iconic mezcal is both light and strong- the low alcohol creating a slightly lighter body than may be expected from an artisanal mezcal. The power behind each sip is still clear, with bold flavors of charred orange and herbs, a touch of gasoline, and green earthy pineapple fronds.
Method/Background
Vida was specifically created as an artisanal mezcal suitable for mixing into drinks, giving bartenders an easy option to introduce tipplers to mezcal, and to feature classic mezcal flavors in mixed drinks. The mezcal is made by cooking agaves in an in-ground pit, crushed, fermented in wooden vats and double distilled in copper pot stills.
