We continue to hear various rumors about the question of piñas being shipped north out of Oaxaca. The latest twist is that people in Jalisco and Oaxaca claim that the agave isn’t being used for anything, it’s just being dumped in order to raise the price of mezcal. If true that’s absolutely shameful.
