Chilean mill

A Chilean mill is synonymous with the tahona. In Chile, a wheel of stone was developed, (perhaps adapted from the Egyptian mill) for use in the local mining industry to crush rocks. Some authors use this term in addition to or instead of Egyptian mill or tahona when discussing milling technologies in the mezcal world.
