Flor del Desierto
Flor Del Desierto is a collection of sotol made by different producers, regions, and varietals of wild harvested sotol plants from state of Chihuahua. Flor Del Desierto was started by a small group of friends after one of them, Flor, won a baking competition, using sotol as the special ingredient.
Made from 100% wild harvested Dasylirion leiophyllum succulents grown in Chihuahua, the plants are then broken down by hand and slowly cooked with local oak and wild fermented before being distilled twice in small copper pot stills.
Dasylirion is not an agave plant. The spirit drinks like a prefect bridge between tequila and mezcal, with copious notes of orchard fruits, spicy herbs, minerals, earth and a gentle wisp of smoke.
