Dos Pasiones
Don Epigmenio began making mezcal when he was 12 years old after tragedy struck his family when his father and older brother were killed. Life was not easy as it was still illegal to make mezcal and it was incredibly hard work. He began playing the clarinet, finding solace in the long hours at the palenque. Over the years he became not only a master clarinet player but also a saxophonist and taught children to play as he traveled the roads selling his mezcal.
Dos Pasiones is a family brand and the name comes from Don Epigmenio’s two passions – music and mezcal, which he credits for having a good life.
