Nose
A very clean and fresh nose. Like the Durango Sotol Coyote, the nose doesn’t even hint at the flavor.
Taste
This bottle has the strangest combination of sweet and herbaceousness. The body is full of nice sugar cane accented by a tangy punch at the front that turns into a szechuan peppercorn sensation on the tongue.
Method / Background Notes
I would never have believed that this is 48%, there’s so little overtly alcohol flavor and so much flavor. Count it as yet another example of ABV collating strongly with flavor. And, at just over $50 a bottle, count it as yet another great bargain in this space.
